The only place to enjoy oysters casually all the year. The most historic and popular restaurant. The staff is also friendly. We offer the most reliable Japanese cuisine in Miyajima.

There is various oyster dishes: raw, fired ,grilled steamed. Each way of cooking preserved the fresh and juicy taste of oyster, yummy!

I was expecting more. Price was ok. Nothing to be remembered.

Good barbecue in a small location. Was hot and the far back room but asked him to turn on the air conditioning helps a lot. Reasonable prices for ordering individually. Fun place and was busy

Serving the best oysters Hiroshima has to offer. Harvested the day itself and served direct to you. Have it raw, grill or served up with udon! - Amazing and friendly service- English / Chinese / Korean menu- staff speaks English and Mandarin

One of the best spots on the island to have the famous miyajima oysters.Expect a queue has this place is really popular with locals and tourist. You get to choose from a range of oysters farmed to different ages 1 - 3 year old oysters and they pretty much do everything with these oysters, grilled, baked, raw, dried, cured, steamed. The freshest possible Fat juicy plump miyajima oysters you can possibly get anywhere.Service is quick and efficient, the food comes quick to keep the constant crowd moving.A definite must go when your on the island to load up before the trek up the mountain.

Delicious, waiter are friendly, not so expensive. Good.

The oysters are soooo good. We had grilled and fried oysters -- both equally good in their own way. We also got some vegetable tempura which was just normal, but it's not what you come to Yakigaki for which of course is its namesake. Definitely a must-try on Miyajima.

The food was decent but not amazing, maybe a personal preference but the fried oysters were a disappointment. The servings are good but the price is clearly catered to tourists.

Big and fresh oysters at very reasonable prices! Must try!

Ordered the set that contained fried oysters, boiled oysters on rice, and raw oysters. The really good oysters were the raw ones. The other two types were not worth it, since the taste of the oyster is fully appreciated when eaten raw. However, I would recommend ordering any other dish plus raw oysters to have a great experience!

Best oysters I've ever had. Had both raw and grilled, which were all very large and full of meat. The green onions and lime went with them perfectly

This place serves grilled oysters at a reasonable price. Grilled oysters are a specialty on this island and this is definitely one of the best places to get it. While the oysters are huge, you should probably order a set meal if you want to get full. You can find this place easily because the workers grill the oysters near the street.

Great restaurant with fresh or fried or boiled oysters they grow at the island. It's worth waiting. The stuff hast english members and a english menu. Don't be shy everyone speaks "international sign language".

The best choice of Oyster in MiyajimaOysters are the most famous seafood in Hiroshima, while September, October, November and December are the best season.Hayashi provide fresh and delicious Oysters, operated nearly 70 years, maintain excellent service while charging very reasonal prices, no matter your choice of Oysters serve in fresh, BBQ or deep fry, it is tenderness and juiciness, also above average size and all locally farmed.Hiroshima produced the biggest Oysters in Japan.Hayashi will Surely our choice if we revisit Miyajima

Better come at tea time so no queue, great fresh one and steamed rice, fried and tempura is nice too

These were the freshest and sweetest oysters I've ever had. As you can see from the pictures, I had oysters a few different ways and they were all amazing. I would definitely recommend trying the raw oysters even if you don't typically like them raw... this changed my perspective on raw oysters! Get ready for long lineups even if you get there early but it is well worth the wait!

Fresh, delicious Hiroshima oysters. Juicy and sweet. Set is a bit pricy but worth it both by its portion and taste.

Highly recommended for the taste of the food! I have been on the island only for a couple of days, but a few people recommended us to eat in this place. And it was really good. Oysters, eel, tempura, soba noodles... all of them perfectly cooked and served.

Go for the oysters. Raw are the best, followed by the grilled ones. We also tried the eel rice ball, the fried oysters and the fried sardines. All were good

Best oysters - both raw and grilled. Very tasty.

Excellent oysters. Large restaurant as well so getting a table is much easier unless you go right at lunch time. Grilled, fried and raw, try them all as you won't be disappointed. The oysters were a little too big for me so I only gave 4 stars but staff, quality and presentation are 5 stars.

delicious oyster cooked by Japanese style

This was actually my first time trying oysters and I enjoyed it very much. I ordered the meal that came oysters cooked in three different ways, and they were all very good! Lovely presentation and very good service. The owner even saw that I was by myself and left a phone on my table to display a video of fireworks of the shrine and other photos of the island. I think the only negative thing is that it's a bit expensive, but I'm not sure how much oysters usually cost.

This restaurant is a must when visiting Miyajima! Their oyster is really fresh and huge, it tasted different than any other oysters I’ve had. I would recommend their raw oysters/namakaki (生カã‚) and grilled oysters/yakigaki (焼ãガã‚).
Jimmy Nguyen
Really great experience with the oysters!

Wiped out in an instant. This place features juicy oysters for a reasonable price. Get 4 for 1400JPY or 2 for 750JPY before tax. Friendly staff and a beautiful presentation of the food. Would recommend anyone on the island to pay a short visit here!

Excellent raw oysters and local sake (try the blue bottle). Fast service, lively packed atmosphere!Much better than the other place we tried. Oysters are very creamy with little seafood flavor. Like eating butter. Medium to large in size.

Was lucky to get 3 seats without much waiting. Had the oysters grilled n raw and they are excellent. Price is very reasonable. We also had cold soba and pork cutlets set and they are really good too. Friendly waiters and the one served us could speak mandarin.

In no exaggeration, the fresh oysters are the best I've tasted in the whole of Japan (let alone Hiroshima). I was told beforehand by a local that Miyajima has very fresh oysters and the trip here certainly did not disappoint. Maybe it's the oyster season in Feb so the prices were really value for money. We had 4 fresh oysters for 1400 yen, and 5 grilled for the same price. Will be back here in a heartbeat if I'm back in Hiroshima again. Thank you! In case you are wondering, they have English menu, has a big space inside and have a few servers who can speak Mandarin if that helps. This place is cash only, which was a tad disappointing since you can't really splurge if you don't carry much cash around

Best place in Miyajima if you want to eat oysters. The service is also very good and professional. Definitely a must-go if you're planning to go to Miyajima from Hiroshima

Really nice restaurant that served very fresh oyster and tasty food (mainly oyster). Recommend to try the set meal which offered raw, grilled and deep fried oysters. Don’t give a pass if the queue is long as the waiting time is acceptable (it was long queue during my visit, but I only waited for less than 20 minutes, even during peak lunch hour).

Good food and great selection

Great little spot on the island with a display showing the progression of how oysters grow out front. Nice staff, great service.
Genna singpo
Great local oyster selection - you can choose from boiled, grilled, deep fried, raw and tempura. All delicious in their own way. Friendly service, good area surrounded by popular shops and cafes.

Great place that is well worth the wait if there is a queue. English menu available and the staff are happy and friendly. Quick service.

Amazing oysters, done in a variety of ways. Natural still best for me

One of the best oysters I have ever eaten!
Matt
We had the set menus which were a bit better value to try both eel and oysters. Sadly despite it being the same price they won’t swap the fried oysters for grilled or fresh. The fried oysters are nothing special, served with ketchup and tartare sauce. The Bbq eel was pretty good, still has the slightly powdery sea/conger eel texture but the flavour was better than other places we have tried it across Japan. Overall it was average food and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Get eel and oysters from the many window counters along the street instead. The hard lemon cider was the main redeeming factor. If you do come here, try that! The service was also prompt and friendly. You may have to call out for attention (sumimasen) like in lots of places.

I could die here. This place is heaven. I've never tasted oysters like this before
